Announcement of Basel Sozialpreis 2016
The Canton of Basel-Stadt supports integration of disabled persons into the workplace. Every year, the Canton honours one or two companies with the Basel Sozialpreis (Basel Social Award).
People whose productivity is limited for social, mental or other health-related reasons have difficulty finding and staying in suitable training or employment. The Canton of Basel-Stadt therefore wants to promote integration of disabled persons into the workplace.
Every year, it honours one or two companies with the Basel Social Award. The prize money is 10,000 francs and the prize is awarded at a ceremonial prize-giving.
The 2015 Basel Social Award went to BSK Baumann + Schaufelberger AG (located in Basel). The government recognised the company’s immense dedication to employing and keeping jobs for employees whose productivity at work is limited.

The prize-givers are looking for companies that show above-average dedication to training or employing staff whose productivity is limited for social, mental or other health-related reasons. They are also looking for companies that support special prevention and integration programmes for persons whose productivity is limited by placing orders. Companies can make the application themselves or be registered by a third party.
Would you like to register your own company for the award or do you know a socially dedicated company that you would like to put forward for the Basel Social Award?
Entries for the Basel Social Award 2016 are open until 31st December 2015.
