Would you like to apply for unemployment benefit (unemployment compensation)?
After registering with the RAV, you can register with an unemployment fund in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. You can decide for yourself which of the four unemployment funds you would like to register with.

You will need the following documents for registration:

• Completed application for unemployment benefit (you will receive the form from the RAV after you have registered with the RAV)
• Document registration data for the unemployment fund (you will receive them from the RAV after you have registered with the RAV)
• If you claim child allowance: Child support obligation form (you will receive this from the RAV after you have registered with the RAV)
• If you are currently or will soon be unemployed: Form "Details of insured person" (AvP) (you will receive this from the RAV after you have registered with the RAV)
• Copies of:
  • letter of termination
  • last employment contract
  • If applicable, medical certificate

The unemployment fund you have chosen will examine your application for unemployment benefit (unemployment compensation) and ask you for additional documents in order to be able to assess your eligibility.
