Mission statement

  • The personnel policy guidelines (in German only), adopted by the Cantonal Government in November 2009, are valid and actively demanded in the AWA Basel-Stadt.
  • The Office of Economy and Labour (AWA) Basel-Stadt is committed to following the management principles of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and promoting equal opportunities (in German only) and diversity in daily interactions.
  • In communication, the AWA Basel-Stadt takes into account the principles of the Canton (in German only) as well as the corresponding values in the department’s mission statement.
  • The AWA Basel-Stadt is committed to the WSU's mission statement (in German only) and to ensuring that all employees are familiar with the values and statements contained therein and follow them as guidelines in their daily work.
