Webinar: Financing in times of COVID19 for Basel-based Life Science and Hightech start-ups

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

The corona crisis is keeping the global economy on edge. For start-ups the situation is particularly precarious as their funding runway and milestones are tightly calculated and a global pandemic is usually not part of a risk analysis. On top of that, initial public support is oriented at wages and annual revenue, both criteria that largely exclude start-ups from these measures.

Together with Alexander Mayweg from Versant Ventures/Ridgeline Therapeutics, Pascal Winnen from Hemex and life sciences serial entrepreneur Roger Meier, the Basel-Stadt Economic Development Unit AWA, the Basel-Landschaft Economic Development and BaselArea.swiss aim to address this challenge.

In this webinar we will discuss:

- how COVID-19 may be affecting Series B and X-over investors for follow-on rounds
- impact on valuations and deal pace
