Mountain Guides & Offers of Risk-Related Activities

The federal law on mountain guides and offers of other risk-related activities (RiskG) and the accompanying regulation (RiskV) entered into force on the 1st of January 2014. As from that point onwards, various groups and risk-related activities exercised for commercial purposes are obliged to have an authorised licence. This concerns the following groups and activities in particular:

• Mountain guides
• Climbing instructors
• Snow sports instructors off the slopes
• Hiking guides
• Companies that organise canyoning, river rafting, white water rafting and bungee jumping programs and events
• Climbing, hiking and snow sports in dangerous terrain
• Kanulehrerinnen und Kanulehrer
