Bad weather compensation scheme
Employees in the business sector in which weather-related absences from work are common, are entitled to bad weather compensation under certain conditions.
After you have submitted your notification, the Cantonal Office for unemployment insurance will review the eligibility requirements. The Public Unemployment Insurance Fund- or another fund of your choice – is then responsible for any further claim investigations. In addition, the fund will calculate and pay out the compensation.
